Every ERAD patient is required to fill in the Patient Information Form and submit it at reception on the day of your appointment. Please download and complete your PIF before your appointment to avoid unnecessary delays.
You can submit it online or bring it on the day of your procedure. Alternatively, the receptionist will hand you a form to complete.
PLEASE NOTE:
Once your examination is complete, a specialist radiologist will analyse the imaging before providing a finding. Your referring doctor will receive this along with the radiology report directly via the INFINITT PACS system within 24 hours.
Your doctor or health practitioner will contact you to discuss the results and their suggested treatment plan. If you do not hear from them, it’s best to contact their medical rooms directly.
Your doctor referred you for imaging testing to confirm a diagnosis and the next steps. Whether that’s to refer you to another specialist, plan surgery or decide on a treatment plan will depend on your results.
Without a medical background, it’s unlikely you’ll understand the radiologist’s report. And some of the findings can be distressing and require further examination. Doctors are trained to discuss your results with you. They know you and will know how best to deliver your test results. However, should you wish, you can always access your reports online via our INFINITT PACS system.

We try to make paying for your medical procedure as pain-free as the process itself. So we’ve answered a few of your frequently asked questions below. But to summarise:.
For cash patients, co-payments and PSEMAS levies, accounts must be settled on the day of your procedure. However, if you are a cash patient and cannot afford the exam but it is needed, ERAD will enter into a payment agreement with you. This is determined on a case by case basis. The patient will need to pay 60% of the bill on the day of the procedure and the rest in equal instalments over the next three months.
Yes, ERAD will submit your account directly to your Medical Aid on the day of the procedure.
Yes, our rates are determined and in line with Namaf’s annual tariffs.
You will qualify for a 30% discount on General, X-rays, Ultrasound, Screening, Mammograms, and a 50% discount on CT and MRI scans if you have had multiple visits (max 4) in a year at ERAD or any of its branches.
Unfortunately, you don’t qualify for this discount if you have depleted your radiology benefits at another facility.
Yes, co-payments may be required per your Medical Aid’s fund rules. For example, some options on Nammed have a 10% or 5% co-payment.
We apply the same rates for private patients, whether Namibian or non-Namibian.
The Private Patient rate is already a discounted rate; therefore, no further discounts are given.
My Pa was baie siek en was by ERAD vir ‘n CT Scan.
Nicolene IssacsMy daughter had a bad fall from a height. A pole hit her on her way down right on her lower rib. She was rushed to the hospital by Dr Marissa Fourie who saw her falling. We had to go for scans to see if the trauma had fractured her ribs or damaged any organs. I can’t even remember who helped us at ERAD that day but the person who did held my hand while I cried and that was all that was keeping me from completely breaking down. The team at ERAD are a wonderful group. They are not only professional, they are warm and caring (and always cheerful) I think that’s what makes the difference to their clients.
Chrizelda MoutonOn 06 May 2022 I visited ERAD to have a CT scan done. I was assisted by a very friendly and efficient receptionist. When they took me through to the room where I would have my scan done I was scared at first, but the personnel assisting me was so calm and friendly that I immediately became relaxed. Before I even realised, the scan was done. What an awesome group of people! Thanks to ERAD for excellent service! The team at ERAD are a wonderful group. Juanita LawrenceBeing an employee and having been a patient at ERAD is an odd experience to say the least. However, my colleagues have always been professional towards whatever treatment I was receiving and treated me just as they would any other walk-in patient. Friendly service from reception right up to the Radiologists with my results. They go the extra mile trying to accommodate you in whichever way they can to make your experience enjoyable as visiting the department is not always for a good reason. I am proud to be associated with this team!
Cindi LawrenceMy brother had Brain CT Scan in February 2021 at ERAD. Dr Kabongo reported it and found severe life-threatening bleeding in the ventricles of his brain. He immediately contacted the Neurosurgeon for his opinion. Arrangements were made within a few hours and my brother had emergency surgery where boreholes were drilled in his skull to drain blood and relief pressure. Thanks to accurate diagnosis and a quick intervention from Dr Kabongo, my brother survived and is still alive today.
