Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12, NQF level 4;
• Certificate in Secretarial and Office Administration, NQF level 3 (added advantage);
• 2-3 years working experience as a Receptionist in a healthcare environment; experience in Infinitt system will be an added advantage;
• Experience with Medical Aid authorizations and billing is an added advantage;
• Excellent Computer Skills;
• Exceptional telephone and front desk skills;
• Ability to work independently,
• Organize effectively and operate optimally under pressure;
• Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electronic and manual submission of claims to medical aid offices.
• Proactively follow up on overdue accounts through phone calls, SMS and emails.
• Inserting Memos on Infinitt for financial related matters for easy follow-ups.
• Negotiate payment plans with customers where necessary.
• Follow up on long outstanding authorizations and POs requested by Reception to ensure prompt invoicing of accounts.
• Provide the Admin Supervisor with monthly age analysis reports and updated on outstanding claims.
• Prepare and compile documentation for refunds to be made to clients and submit to the Admin supervisor weekly.
• Perform ad hoc reception duties as and when required.
• Operate the switchboard and book patient appointments as operationally required.
